Meet our peopleWho we are
A consultancy built on collective experience
Avilos brings together people who understand aviation from the operational, technical and organisational sides.
Our backgrounds span the Royal Air Force, commercial UAS operations, design engineering and leadership in regulated environments. Together, we bring a broad perspective to the organisations we work with.
We work closely with operators, manufacturers and defence organisations, taking time to understand their people, ambitions and working environment. Our strength lies in the combination of expertise across the team.
Through involvement in ARPAS-UK and industry events, we remain closely connected to the people and developments shaping UK uncrewed aviation.
Our people
The team behind Avilos
Craig Lippett MSc
Craig has supported more than 50 organisations over 15 years across the commercial and defence UAS sectors.
His experience spans uncrewed aircraft systems safety, regulatory compliance and CAA and MAA airworthiness activity. He brings an operational perspective to complex aviation challenges, including beyond visual line of sight operations.
Working across disciplines, Craig helps organisations understand how their technical decisions, operating practices and regulatory responsibilities fit together.
At Avilos, he contributes deep sector knowledge and experience helping clients develop and realise their plans for uncrewed aviation.
Anita Lippett BSc
Anita brings more than three decades of aviation experience and a career leading people in safety-critical environments.
She oversees the operational, financial and organisational foundations of Avilos, supporting the team and the delivery of its work.
Her aviation career began in the Royal Air Force as an Assistant Air Traffic Controller. A founding member of ARPAS UK in 2013, she served as Secretary during its formative years and was among the first group of women in the UK to achieve the CAA-approved RPQ certification.
Alongside aviation, Anita built a career in NHS and private healthcare, becoming a Radiology Manager and hospital Radiation Protection Supervisor. Her responsibilities included team leadership, compliance and staff and patient safety.
She also led the redevelopment of a radiology suite following catastrophic equipment failure, managing a complex technical rebuild under demanding time and regulatory constraints.
That experience shapes her work at Avilos: supporting people, coordinating specialist expertise and building a dependable organisation.
Ashley Wright MEng
Ashley brings extensive design engineering experience across civilian and military sectors.
His background adds an engineering perspective to the team’s understanding of uncrewed aircraft, connecting technical design considerations with operational safety.
Working alongside Craig and Anita, Ashley contributes to the combination of regulatory, engineering and organisational experience that defines Avilos.
